    Unhappy Client

When the bank service is poor and unfair, clients are unhappy and the entire system is broken.

When Huseyn used his bank statements to reconcile his accounts, some bank fees did not make any sense to him. His bank charged him for each transaction, plus the monthly fee and even for requesting an ATM receipt.

When he tried to call the 1800-number of his bank customer service, he had to pay for calling that number, as well. Furthermore, when he went in person to his bank branch to discuss his matter, one of his bank tellers told him that the fee provisions of his bank account agreement state all of that; as a result, there was no reason for the b-a-n-k to refund the fees.

But Huseyn never got a bank agreement in writing—better yet, he didn’t have any knowledge of some of these fees. He returned home unhappy. Because he needed his bank accounts, the idea of closing them was off the table. He just hopped one day someone, somewhere, will make the Moroccan bank-client relationship more reasonable, very clear, and fair to all clients.

Planting Plants in Mohammedia City Park

It is always better to learn about things before making any action.

Ahmed and Wassila were born in Morocco, to be precise, in a place called Kasbah in the city of Mohammedia. Since their young age, they have liked planting plants and taking care of trees. Because they never had a garden or had where to dig a plant bed in the ground, they did it in City Park at night.

One early Sunday morning, they went to water the newest planted plants, but they were gone. Ahmed looked at Wassila, and Wassila looked at Ahmed; and then, they both said at the same time, “Oh my God! What just happened in here?”

From far a man came toward them. He looked like the guy who was in charge of keeping the park clean and safe. He just smiled at them and said, “This is Mohammedia City Park, please don’t dig any of your plant beds. And please don’t plant any of your plants,” and he added, “some plants are invasive, and they may be hard to deal with.”

Ahmed and Wassila were not aware of the danger of the invasive plants. Since that day, they have stopped digging beds and planting plants in Mohammedia City Park, and they decided first to go to school and learn about the planting and the danger of the invasive plants.

    Farida’s Story

It is no secret many children in Morocco are living cruelly harsh childhood that can make the entire society unsafe and even cost more money to deal with it.

Farida’s mother had died when she was five and had grown up as the mother of the house taking care of the other two children and her sick father. The only income the family had was her father’s retirement income, but it was never enough to cover the shelter and pay all their monthly basic needs. When the time was tougher on them, Farida would deeply think what to cook for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She would again rummage in the fridge searching for ideas. Most of the time potato was the only vegetable available, but she already made a meal out of it yesterday—mashed potato, salt and pepper, and a handful of chopped parsley. It was better than nothing but never enough to fully feed all of them and surely it wasn’t a very nourishing meal for her siblings.
