The lessons we learn from our family are more important and last longer.

Hind has learned so many lessons in her life, some of them from her family and others from her friends. She finds many similarities and differences in them and both kinds of lessons have been very important to her. However, when she consider them carefully, she knows that the lessons from her family are more important.

While her friends have taught her to enjoy life, her family has taught her to be strong and respect others. They have taught her how to feel independent, her family has taught her to have a lot of fun, be responsible, and find happiness in life. In addition, her mother has taught her how to behave in family gathering such as the Moroccan big wedding and what was the Moroccan culture like.

Furthermore, her family has taught her values such as forgiveness and care about others. She will never forget that once she was very mad at her younger sister and fought with her because she wore her new clothes. She was only six and she cried. But, later she asked her to read a story for her while she was in bed. It was her way to forgive her. Hind will never forget how her little sister taught her how to forgive.

Hind believes that family has taught her to be independent and strong, and this will help her during her whole life. Moreover, it has taught her how to forgive, which is necessary for getting along with people.

    Yussef’s Bad Luck

When Yussef attended for the first time his company’s annual meeting, he forgot to bring with him a pen and a sheet of paper. Here is what happened to him:

At the annual meeting of his company, Yussef wanted to take some notes, but he couldn’t. When he looked inside his backpack searching for a pen, he didn’t find any pen. He looked to his right and he looked to his left, and then he fixed his eyes at Layla’s extra pen. With one of his hands, he gestured to her if he could borrow her extra pen. Layla was paying close attention to her director’s speech. She didn’t understand him. At the speech pause, Yussef again looked at Layla and mouthed the word “P-E-N.” At that moment, Layla grabbed her extra pen and tossed it to him.

Yussef now had a pen, but he needed a sheet of paper. When he rummaged inside his backpack searching for few sheets, he couldn’t find any. His colleagues found him a little bit annoying to the meeting. Although his director was explaining so many important things on the blackboard, he knew what was happening on his back. Nevertheless, his director turned his back, took several sheets of paper, and handed them out to Yussef. “This will resolve this problem,” he thought.

Yussef started writing down some sentences when the pen he borrowed from Layla died. He kept shaking it up and down, but the pen had no more ink. “What bad luck!” He said. He looked to his right again and he looked to his left again searching for anyone else who could have an extra pen. Suddenly, his director threw at him a pencil at the same time he ended the speech.
