Sablettes Beach is located in the city of Mohammedia, in Morocco. It is one of the most refreshing places to be in during the summer, and big wave surfing to enjoy during the winter. When the weather is too hot, many locals and visitors of the city plan to spend their weekends in there. Who would not love the cooling sea water at Sablettes Beach with the smell of salt water and liberation wafting on the warmth July breezes? Yes, Sablettes Beach is a real beach with real sand, and real sea water. The sea water is not cold, the sand is soft and white, and the beach space is huge and clean.

In the summer, the air smells salty from the sea and sweet from everybody’s suntan lotion. However, in the Winter, the air smells the ocean’s bottom because of the movement of the sea in strong rolling tidal waves that sometimes break to the high water mark and submerge the entire beach sand. If you enjoy surfing in the ocean’s waves, Sablettes Beach could be one of your destinations. Its waves are high, can last longer, and have no sharks to be scared of.

If you are at Sablettes Beach and you enjoy swimming, make sure to swim in the middle because at the corners of the beach, the sea water current is too strong and may carry you to the deepest water without even noticing. If this situation happens, don’t panic and don’t try to fight the sea water current by swimming against it. Instead, save your energy and slowly swim toward the waves inside the ocean. Once you have reached the waves inside the ocean, swim back toward the beach sand. In the summer, Sablettes Beach has so many lifeguards. They are all local men, expert swimmers, and very familiar with the area. In addition, at each summer season, they must pass the government lifeguard-training evaluation.

If you don’t like swimming or surfing but enjoy being at the beach near the shoreline wading through the ocean’s water, make sure to have a book on you to read; in addition, if the sun is too hot for you, you can rent a parasol. There are so many people who can rent you a parasol at Sablettes Beach. Don’t be afraid of them if they approach you and ask—do you need a parasol? It may cost you between 10 to 20 dirhams. While you are sitting in the shadow under parasol, you may want to have a cup of coffee or tea. Sablettes Beach has freshly made coffee or tea to buy without leaving the shadow of your parasol. You will see young men walking and carrying the big boiling water pots. Once you wave at one of them, they will come and serve you a hot drink. They may add sugar into it unless you tell them no sugar. The drink comes in a medium-sized plastic cup and will cost you between two to three dirhams.

During the night, Sablettes Beach is still the perfect destination for many people. Some will swim at night in the sea water and, believe it or not, the sea water is warm and super relaxing. Others will surf in the big tidal waves until past midnight. And still others will lie on the warm sand in a friendly gathering up all night.

In the winter, Sablettes Beach is an empty sand, but never an empty water in the sense that many people still ride their surfboards and surf big waves in spite of the bad weather.

Either you enjoy swimming or surfing or just relaxing at the beach, Sablettes Beach is the perfect place to be at in the city of Mohammedia.
