• From Terceira Island to the City of Mohammedia

  There was no direct flight from Terceira Island to Morocco, but in this article I will tell my experience and how I made it from Terceira Island to the city of Mohammedia taking the airplane, the international bus, the ferry, and the the train.
  

  Strangely, the small Terceira airport appeared as dark as midnight as the airplane from Toronto touched down on the tarmac. It was unusually silent across the entire place. As we got off the aircraft, the absolute silence of the place gave the impression that the weather was unusual, even though it was warm, windy, and humid. We landed around 11:20 p.m., but we stayed near the airplane until we were told to proceed to the main entrance doors, where I read the airport's name written on a huge lit banner on the wall: Aerogare Das Lajes.
  
  The majority of passengers had family members who were waiting to pick them up, and few passengers stayed at the airport for the next flight to Lisbon. We were many people, and all gathered in the closed restaurant area where chairs and tables were available.
  
  I took the next flight to Lisbon at 8:55 a.m., and I arrived at 10:55 a.m. I was lucky not to wait for any luggage, which made my exiting process fast and relaxing. Unlike Terceira

  In the summer, the air smells salty from the sea and sweet from everybody's suntan lotion. However, in the winter, the air smells the ocean's bottom because of the movement of the sea in strong rolling tidal waves that sometimes break to the high water mark and submerge the entire beach sand.
